The chair of the governors of Carlton Bolling College, Cllr David Ward has condemned as 'vicious and vindictive' a decision by the School Forum to clawback £170,000 of the school's money for the late submission of a form.
The College later submitted the form showing it needed all its funds to finance its continued growth resulting from its increased success and popularity
Carlton Bolling College has gone from Special Measures to be the first secondary school in Bradford to be designated as "outstanding" by Ofsted
Cllr Ward said,
" This is a attack on a school that is one of Bradford's success stories. It amounts to a £170,000 fine which will have to come out of the school's budget. How can such treatment of its staff, students and ultimately the local community be justified? We have called an emergency meeting of the Finance Committee to consider our next step"
