Cllr Sunderland and Lisa Clark campaigning get this tidied up
Lisa Clark, a resident in Idle has enlisted the help of local Lib Dem councillor Jeanette Sunderland to get some builders rubble cleared our of a raised shrub bed.
Lisa said,
' I was just visiting a friend when I noticed the mess. Someone had repaired the wall but the contractors have tipped the rubble from the broken wall into the shrub bed. This has damaged the shrubs and now they won't grow properly and looks such a sight. We are going to write to Incommunities to get the contractor who did the work to come back and remove the rubble. Some of the shrubs may have to be replaced as well.'
Councillor Sunderland said
"I asked Incommunities to sort out the wall following a complaint from a local resident about an overgrown tree. The tree has been removed and the wall repaired but I did not expect them to leave it in such a mess. Local residents shouldn't have to put up with this. Dumping like this is nothing more that fly tipping, which is criminal behaviour. I have written to Incommunities in the strongest terms asking them to get it sorted out."
