Councillor Jeanette Sunderland ( Lib Dem Idle ) has branded as 'ridiculous' two possible names for a new road in Idle.

She said:

"The new road of seven houses is off Pellon Terrace and near Pellon Walk so instead of selecting something local and obvious like Pellon Drive or Pellon Close, the planners have come up with Clearwater Way or Flamingo Drive!"

"I've never seen a flamingo in Idle and never expect to so I have suggested to the planners that they think again."
