Refund wanted for 'bald' Council Christmas Trees

Illuminated Xmas tree

Why can't Bradford have one like this?

Councillor Jeanette Sunderland has contacted the director of culture, tourism and sport about the appalling state of the Christmas Trees outside City Hall and In Bank Street.

She said,

" They look like last year's trees brought back. The spines are falling off and one in front of City Hall is practically bald. I think we should get rid of them, ask for our money back and get at least one decent tree with the refund.

We want to attract shoppers to the city centre and encourage them to spend their money here. These sad excuses for Christmas trees are more likely to turn people off."
