Cllr Margaret Chadiwck ' on the beat' with local police

Recently-elected councillor Margaret Chadwick ( Lib Dem Bolton and Undercliffe ), is going ' on the beat' with her local bobby next week.

She said,

" I'm going out with both the morning and the afternoon shifts between 9.30am and 6 pm because I want to see how they work and get a better understanding of what our police face in the community. I think this will make it easier for me to deal with resident's comments about the police service they get .

I also hope to be able to give the police a bit of an insight into what councillors do and show that tackling crime is about the police and the community working together."
