Lib Dem Councillors Margaret Chadwick and David Gray have called for serious discussions between the police and the Council about the nuisance of off-road bikes. Councillor Chadwick recently went ' on the beat' with local police to trouble hot spots in Bolton, Wrose, Eccleshill and Undercliffe. She said,

" Councillor Gray has highlighted this problem many times in the past particularly mini-motor bikes which are being sold for relatively small sums of money and without adequate warnings about where they can be legally ridden. . Off-road bikers and riders of mini-motos need somewhere legal where they can go because at the moment they are breaking the law and people could get killed. And parents need to take responsibility for where their children are riding these bikes. "
