Odeon dispute should be settled by an independent expert

Councillor David Ward has called for an independent review of all the evidence about the state of the Odeon .

He said, '" It is clear from the photographs of the inside of the building that it is not a 'crumbling, derelict shell' and this has caused mistrust and anger. It is very hard to avoid the conclusion that Yorkshire Forward bought the Odeon to allow it to deteriorate and then to knock it down. Let's end this game of claim and counter-claim with a report from an independent qualified person acceptable to both sides."
