846 bus

Cllr John Watmough boards the retimed 846 bus

Councillor John Watmough ( Lib Dem Windhill & Wrose ) is celebrating success in persuading First Bus to change a bus timetable to improve the service between Shipley Market Place and Wrose.

Residents complained that the 624 and the 846 bus left the market place at the same time after 3 pm and there was then a 30 minutes gap to the next two buses.

First Bus have now agreed that from April 26th, the 846 bus will leave the market place and 03 and 33 minutes past the hour with the 624 at 20 and 48 minutes past the hour.

Councillor Watmough said,

" This is a triumph for common sense. First Bus realised as soon as it was pointed out to them that a change was needed and a new timetable will come into operation on April 26th as soon as the notice period to Traffic Commissioners has expired."
